About this module
The law of torts is about civil wrongs. When someone breaks a duty the law places on all of us, such as the duty not to hit people, not to be careless, or not to spread lies about them, the person harmed can go to court for compensation. This module follows a standard LLB course. Each chapter starts with a plain-English overview, then covers the law in detail, and ends with a memory map and take-home points. Case names are links to full case summaries.
