In short

A full Commonwealth master’s, but only on courses a UK university has bid to run with the CSC. You do not apply to the Commission. You apply to the university, for a course that appears on the published list.

Law, medicine and engineering all appear on these lists in some years and not in others. Until the November 2026 list is up, there is nothing to apply to. Do not send a speculative email to a law school.

Who can apply

  • You are a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country and you live there. Sierra Leone is eligible for Commonwealth awards.
  • You meet the academic rules of the CSC master’s and of that university’s course.
  • The course is on the shared-scholarship list for this round. A course that is merely “at a UK university” is not enough.

Papers they ask for

  • The university’s own scholarship form, once the list names a contact.
  • The academic papers that university asks for. They are not the CSC Central upload used for the main Commonwealth master’s.

What it pays

  • Tuition and living support on the terms the CSC publishes with the course list

How to apply

  1. Wait for the course list. The CSC has said it will be on the site in November 2026, with each university’s contact.
  2. Applications are expected to open in early November 2026 and close in mid-December 2026. The exact days are not published yet.
  3. Apply only to a listed course, through the contact on that list.

Read this before you file

  • This is a different route from the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships that close on 20 October 2026. Do not miss that earlier deadline because you were waiting for this list, if the October award is the one you want.
  • Tuition and living support follow the terms the CSC prints with the course list. Do not copy last year’s package until this year’s note is up.
  • Each university may add its own conditions. Read them.
