Community Guidelines

1. No client or confidential information

Never post names, facts, documents or anything else that could identify a client, a party to a live matter, or information you received in confidence.

If you want help with a real situation, change the facts so nobody can be identified, or speak to a qualified lawyer privately.

2. Not legal advice

Posts, answers and comments are for study and general discussion only. They are not legal advice and do not create a lawyer–client relationship.

Laws change and every case turns on its facts. Check the primary source (the Act or the judgment) and get advice from a qualified lawyer before you act.

3. Protect minors

Never share the name, photo, school or any identifying detail of a child, including in discussions of family, juvenile or criminal cases.

Do not contact younger members privately or ask for personal details. Report anything that puts a child at risk straight away.

4. Be respectful

Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate, threats, personal attacks, or sexual content.

Do not impersonate others, spam, advertise, or post content you do not have the right to share.

5. Be accurate and cite your sources

Link or name the Act, section or case you rely on so others can check it. Correct yourself when you are wrong.

6. Reporting and moderation

Use the Report button on any post, answer or comment that breaks these rules. Lanbuk admins review reports and may hide or delete content and limit accounts that break the rules.

To prevent spam, posting is protected by a security check and limited to a few posts every few minutes.
