Summary

The Pensions and Retiring Benefits of Presidents and Vice-Presidents Act, 1986 provides for the pensions, gratuities and other benefits payable to persons who have held the office of President or Vice-President of Sierra Leone on their retirement from office.

The Act sets out the entitlements of former holders of these highest offices — such as pensions, allowances and facilities — and the conditions attaching to them. It was amended by decree in 1996.
