Electoral Laws Act, 2002
The principal Act consolidating the law on the conduct of elections in Sierra Leone, including registration, nomination, polling and the counting of votes.
Summary
The Electoral Laws Act, 2002 consolidated and restated the law governing the conduct of public elections in Sierra Leone. Enacted after the civil war, it provided the legal framework for the 2002 general elections and subsequent polls.
